Mortar and Pestle

Mortar and Pestles are essential tools in the kitchen. They are used to prepare various recipe ingredients by crushing and grinding them into a paste or powder.

My Mortar and Pestles are made of Red Oak, a hardwood known for its durability. As with everything I make, there is a bit of variety in them. In general, the Mortar is about 3.5” in diameter and 2.5” high. The Pestle is approximately 5” long and about 1.25” in diameter at the handle. They are finished with a food-grade oil/beeswax finish.
